Stanley and Chris Simmons have had a fantastic experience at the finals of the Family Quorn Cup, where they represented Bromley Tennis Centre after winning a really enjoyable and highly competitive event at BTC which saw 50 pairs take part. The finals were held at The Aegon International in Eastbourne, where winners from 25 clubs took part in a timed tennis competition. Stanley held his nerve to see his dad through the tough matches in the group stages and qualify for the knock outs. They eventually beat the team from Canterbury in the final, to claim the coveted prize of Quorn Family Cup Champions. The entertainment did not end there however, as they were then able to watch the top players from the Ladies event practicing. Amongst others, they saw former world number 1 Martina Hingis (current world doubles number one) and Eugenie Bouchard. They also saw Laura Robson make her long awaited comeback match in the qualifying, and were lucky enough to have a talk from Andrea Petkovic the German world number 14, where Stanley found out Andrea’s path to the top. A really fabulous experience….
