We're really excited to be partnering with Youth Sport Nutrition (YSN).
At BTC, we always encourage players to get their energy by eating the right types of food as much as possible, and you might have spotted some signs and flyers around the centre focusing on healthy, high energy foods!
That being said, we know that some of you are very active, and it's not always possible for you to get the energy you need solely through food. This is when you might want to consider adding high quality supplements to your diet to keep your energy levels up!
We're really excited to be partnering with YSN, who are leaders in youth nutrition and understand just what young athletes need to help them recover after training and perform at their best.
YSN have a range of shakes and energy bars, and BTC members can now get 10% off all products on their website using our code - we've emailed the code out to all our members, so keep an eye on your inbox!
We know there are loads of different supplements out there, and so it can be hard to know which ones to go for. Aside from their expertise in youth nutrition specifically, one of the reasons we're partnering with YSN is because all of their products are tested through Informed Sport. This means they have been screened for products on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned substance list, and we can completely trust that this product is safe for our players.
YSN also work hard to educate young people and their parents on nutrition and supplements, which is why we'll be running a nutrition workshop all about Fueling the Youth Athlete at the end of term.
We'll be in touch with more information nearer the time, but here's roughly what we'll be covering in the session:
Why is nutrition important for youth athletes?
Basics of sports nutrition
When to eat and how much
Nutrition for recovery
Supplements for the youth athlete
